Well, yesterday was Madisyn 1st birthday. I can't believe she is already one. Time has gone by so quickly but at the same time a lot of things have happened since she was born. We had a hawaiian birthday party for her and it was a ton of fun. We had the party at my moms house this time, and we didn't invite a lot of people because we didn't want Madisyn to be overwhelmed. Mommy made BBQ pork sandwiches, aloha sweet potatoes, a fruit plate, and Nana and mommy made Madisyn's cake. She really enjoyed herself, she got to play with her friends Piper, Griffin, and Chloe and her big brother Marquis. Madisyn wasn't much into opening her presents so we let all the kids help out which was great, they enjoyed it and it didn't take forever like sometimes it can. She got a ton of new clothes, thank goodness because she has outgrown almost everything we had, a puzzle, and toy phone, some books, a new baby, a stroller for her baby, and a little riding toy. She loved her baby, when she opened it and i took it out of the box she kept hugging it and saying "awwwww".It was adorable. After presents we had cake, Madisyn even tried to blow out the candle but she couldn't so Marquis helped her, then she decided to eat the cake by putting her face into it rather than pick it up with her hands, then Marquis thought that was pretty funny so he helped her out with that as well. He loves helping his little sister. Madisyn ate a ton of cake and made a huge mess, which is the fun part!! The kids played some more until the parents got worn out and decided it was time for everyone to go home and get some rest. It was a great fun party and a wonderful first year of little Madisyn's life. We are so lucky to have her and her big brother Marquis. They are the best!!!

Happy Birthday Madisyn! It looks like you guys had a great time. So, you and your mom made that cake. That's awesome. You did a really great job. Hey and did I see Nate there? He's back from his mission already. It dosn't seem like it has been that long. Well I guess it has.
That is so sweet about Madisyn and her doll! Sorry we couldn't make it! We'll have to get together soon!
