a story i forget to mention

the other day i went to the Oshkosh store with both the kids and of course they wanted to go and play back at the Lego table. Marquis went first and madisyn was strapped in the stroller b/c she hadn't been listening.I had a little chat with her and let her out.Marquis like i said was already back there and so were 2 other little boys. madisyn went walking up to the table and one of the little boys says "go away you can't be here" and Marquis looks at him and says "hey, that's my sister". The little boy then says you can sit here and madisyn went and sat down to play.I then continue to look around the store when i hear that same little boy not playing nice with Madisyn and then i hear marquis say " you need to play nice". I was so proud of him. I walked over though just to check on things.i told marquis to make sure madisyn played nice he said ok mom. So I proceed to look around and then i hear a loud scream/cry. i start to walk back to the table when i see the little boy that was not being nice crying and running to his mom. So i asked marquis and madisyn what happened they wouldn't talk so i asked the other little boy at the table what happened.He wouldn't talk either.So i asked madisyn did you hit that boy? she said yes, so i started disciplining her and the little boy at the table said no she didn't hit him, she just broke his building, she didn't hit him. thank you little boy, she was going to get in trouble for the wrong thing, then Marquis finally spoke and said "and she threw a block at him, he wasn't being nice".
I just thought it was so cute and big brotherish of him to stick up for her and then be determined not to rat on her. What a great big brother.
