New puppy and baking

Last Thursday our family got a new puppy. The kids are ecstatic about her. They loved going to find a puppy and they love having her around. The first thing they want to do in the morning is let the dog in to play. They get a little to hyper for her and when she reaches the excitement with them then they get freaked out. I have had several good laughs watching them all together. Sometimes i laugh so hard i start crying. We asked Marquis what we should name her and his first choice was "e-e" what a name, right?! Well i wasn't about to name our dog that, then him and Madisyn starting saying that the whole way home and laughing. When we got home with the puppy, i then again asked Marquis what he would like to call her and this time he came up with a better idea "Tar" he said which means Star. So that is what we call our little black lab puppy. Marquis is really attached to her. He says she is his doggy and no one elses. then yesterday when a guy from glens work came by and opened the garage the dog went running out so he got her and brought her to the front door and wanted to know if it was ok to keep her outside with him for a minute. So i said sure, Marquis cried and cried because he thought "that man take mine doggy". So we had to go out and get the dog to show him he didn't take her. It was really cute. He really loves her and he tells her that.
Now for the baking, Marquis has been asking and asking to make anything and everything, so last night we made homemade pizza and some cupcakes. He loved it. he wanted to help with everything, including the taste testing. I really think that is why he likes helping. He doesn't ever really like whatever he makes after it is cooked. I got a couple pictures of him helping and one of glen helping with the pizza as well. Glen thinks he is a pro-pizza dough maker! And Madisyn just sits back in her high chair and eats and eats while everyone else does the work.
